Frequently asked questions
What do you actually do?
We listen to you and what you want. We then compile a comprehensive review of where you stand now and where you want to get to financially. A report is then produced showing you the best way of achieving your objectives. Confidentiality is assured.
How much will it cost me?
First of all, we aim to save you money and then make you more. All we ask is that you invest some time to help us to help you. Our fees are in line with that recommended by the Law Society of Scotland for their members. You can decide if you want to pay us on an hourly or daily rate basis, or even on a fixed fee agreed in advance. This can be a percentage of total investment or project cost.
N.B. As a result of introductory fees received from other specialists, we are usually able to rebate monies to clients even after our fees have been paid.
Why should we use you?
Because we take the doubt and confusion out of planning for your financial security. You no longer need to worry about whether you are doing the right thing. Our advice is totally impartial – nobody else is paying us so we have no axe to grind. You also benefit from much better value for money.
Who else is involved?
Apart from our associates who deal with the business and management consultancy side of things, we aim to work with your existing accountant or solicitor. It must be emphasised that our function is not intended to replace advice available from your existing professional advisers, but rather to utilise our specialist knowledge and expertise to compliment and enhance the existing advice.
